RGB matrix 8x8 "the brain"
I started to buy parts for the next PCB, as i mentioned earlier "the brain" PCB. Here are the parts:
The main parts of "the brain" will be: 4x74HC595 shift registers, 1xULN2803 also known as transistor array, you can see that from its datasheet, which you can find in the "Useful links". And finally 1xPIC16F1936, I liked it because it runs on low power, has 4 or 5 PWM channels, lots of I/O channels and e.t.c. :D What is PWM, I shortly explained in the other post "3x6 LED matrix" :) But if you want more, just write it in the comments below this post. Then I will write a seperate post about the PWM and how it works :) Back to the topic, I also bought some sockets, for each part :) They are useful, because, you will not have to risk damaging the microchips, because you will not have to solder them to the PCB. And if you will need them again, you can just pull the out of the sockets :)
